Thank you so much for being honest! I had looked at everything I could link to on the Hess website prior to getting in touch with you. I wanted to know what others had to say about Hess.

Hi Idahnell,

Apologies for the delay! The transition from NZ to TW was easy for me, and the new experiences did not present a huge cognitive challenge. I guess an open and willing mind is the most reliable resource one can draw on in living and working abroad.

I suggest you visit the Hess website for more information. Last time I checked, it offered teacher interviews and loads of stuff on teaching English and the challenges you may experience here. I found Hess to be, by and large, an honest and fair employer. I heartily recommend Taiwan to you.

Sincerely,

Simon

Simon van Rysewyk, can you tell me about your experience in Taiwan at Hess? What was difficult about the transition from your country to Taiwan? Please tell me of any frustrations or difficulties you had while there. I also want to know about positive experiences. Would you recommend the experience to anyone else? Any other words of advice?

Thank you so much!
